12:00 AM – 11:59 PM UTC
The AMV Contest 2026 is an annual anime music video editing competition celebrating the art of fan-made video editing. Entrants submit a single AMV (max 5 minutes) that will be judged by a panel of veteran editors on three criteria: audio-visual sync, narrative storytelling, and technical execution. This year's contest introduces a new 'Rising Star' category for editors with fewer than 3 published AMVs. All source anime must be credited, and music must either be licensed or royalty-free. Prizes for the top 3 include custom trophies, editing software licenses, and featured spotlight on the Nalameta homepage. A live watch party and judging stream will take place after submissions close.
No copyrighted music without license. Max 5 minutes. Must be original edit.
